2026 Three Rivers Machinery Club Championship

Sunday 21st June supplied the 2026 Club Championships sponsored by Three Rivers Machinery and what a day it was.

The big man himself Stephen “Coop” Cooper had a plan and what a plan it was! Starting out there on Friday in the rain, Coop, Bloinky, Grant and Mel went about creating what Coop had on paper and in his mind – boggling as it was! Saturday set up brought more showers but even more determination to finish creating a fabulous range. Coop, Mel & Rob kept up with the plan, making adjustments here and there until one minor hick up with our scissor lift getting bogged before we even moved it. Bloinky to the rescue with a tow chain late in the afternoon which did mean we finished with headlights on.

Shoot day brought fog, and overcast conditions for most of the day but that didn’t stop 39 shooters heading out to try for the title of 2026 Club Champion.

First stand over the dam created a few dramas for shooters with a couple of crossers over the back of the dam and in incommer of the tower. Staircase high quick outgoer, curling incomer and this floppy coming from the right, there were a few that over lead that one. A diving outgoer across the next dam with a couple of left to rights at the back. A midi, rabbit, and slippery outgoer, followed by sneaky incommer thru the trees, a high looper and outgoer brought us to the red truck with high birds and an outgoer. Crossed the creek to another slow low loop, teal and bit of an edgy outgoer from behind a tree. Much to his disgust and hate of a super mini, Coop did put it in as a very sloppy “pffft” of a target, a very quick low incommer heading into the creek along with a remarkably high looper. A pair of rabbits outgoing and crossing and incomer of the truck while you stood in the bottom of the creek. This all lead you to our prize possession – the scissor lift 16m high sending a brilliant target across the range paired with a battue and right to left crosser.

Second round saw cage and menu board changes just in case the shooters had the targets worked out. Coop set high gun at about 88 so 82 wasn’t far off the mark.

Thanks go to our awesome new sponsors Three Rivers Machinery who have branches in Narromine, Warren, Gilgandra & Dubbo.

To Coop, Bloinky, Grant, Rob, and Mel for all their hard work creating the range. Those who helped and supplied lunch, sorted the office out and all those wonderful people who jumped in before and after presentation to assist in packing up.

While we were waiting for shoot offs and presentation Mel ran a quick trivia game about our Sponsors just to see who knew about them. This provided a few giggles and head scratching. Winners went home with a couple of little prizes from Three Rivers Machinery.

Shoot off for A grade 1st/2nd and C grade 2nd/3rd. Paul & Steph went against each other while Coop and Andy Sinclair went head-to-head going down to the last target to get a result.

Congrats to PK who won the lucky door prize while Mo Ross was pulled out for the Shooters jackpot unfortunately, she was not present at the draw, so it jackpots to $150 next month.

And for the first time that we know of, we had a Junior take the title of Club Champion. Beating out Adam Carmichael by 1 lonely target Henry Purvis with an 82 was crowned as winner.
