Saturday 19th July brought the beginning of the inaugural Christmas In July 2 day shoot.
We welcomed our new sponsor BBF Industrial to our club and we thank them for their sponsorship.
With 104 targets on offer and $500 up for grabs for the one who managed to hit the most, over 40 shooters lined up to take on the BBF Christmas in July. The top 9 scores following high gun grabbed themselves $100, then prizes were given 1st-3rd in grades.
The boys of BRB went about and set 2 ranges consisting of some great targets involving crossers, incomers, high and low birds and those pesky mixo rabbits made a come back at the very end. These little slow rolling rabbits brought many shooters undone, some of whom were clean until that very last stand. But this time there was a “triple” with the first 2 separating and the 3rd overtaking creating a perfect pair for one shot.
Great day with sunshine and little to no wind, the fire buckets the boys put out didn’t have to be lit.
After shooting was done, it was time for Horses “Flush” event commenced. Shooters created their 3 person teams, bought in and battled it out for the cash divide and the title. Five lots of 6 targets were released at intervals shooters had to make most of their 2 barrels.
In the end there could only be one winner, Stuart Cole, Dean Delaney & Chris Bourke aka Coley, Deano & Horse. Apparently, it down to the wire with team Bloinky really wanting the win but got beat at the post by 3 targets.
Shooter’s jackpot was won by Min Coleman but unfortunately wasn’t eligible. So it jackpotted again.
Thank you to all that helped in anyway, be it setting, packing up, kitchen, office, your help is appreciated.
Winners are Grinners and Congrats to Stephen Cooper shooting 100/104
