2020 WYANNA P/SHIP LADIES DAY / MCGRATH FOUNDATION PINK SHOOT
Sunday 18th October saw the annual Pink Shoot hosted by the Wyanna Partnership. Each year shooters from all round don their pink to raise awareness and much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation. Glenn McGrath made the trek out to the range, speaking about the insight of the McGrath Foundation, talking with everyone along with signing quite a few autographs.

2019 Wyanna Partnership Ladies /McGrath Foundation Shoot
Sunday 27 October 2019 brought out the pink in everyone, we had a pink flamingo, pink golf cart, a hot pink formal suit but best of all we had GLENN McGRATH! Glenn spoke at the shooters brief where he was presented with his very own Wyanna Partnership shirt which he proudly wore all day. He spent the first half of the day walking around watching a couple of our sub juniors then swapped over to escorting a couple of our lady shooters around the range. At presentation he gave us a brief outline of the McGrath Foundation and assisted with presenting prizes. There were quite a few photos and autographs happening afterwards. The range was awesome! We had ones flying through windows, coming from in amongst the trees, rabbits from behind logs, floppy ones (which a few missed – overleading for sure) and with tradition a tricky rabbit. This time is was the “BMX Rabbitâ€, launching off a ramp, landing then rolling around the dam bank. Choice was yours – hit it as it flew through the air or wait until it landed. You shot this from across the dam. Members enjoyed the challenge and had a lot of laughs. Once again the Wyanna Partnership, Ken & Paula Purvis and Tony & Chris Monk spoilt shooters with an array of prizes. Flash targets scored you a stubby cooler or hat – 27 lucky shooters are now keeping their drink cool or their heads! They also present Sandra Carr, Liz Coaker & Denielle McPherson with appreciation gifts for their hard work running the office and kitchen for the day. Lucky door prizes, raffle, 100 club and a Honey auction all took place to raise much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation to enable them to keep their hard work going supporting those affected by breast cancer. Winners of the Raffle 1st Brett Hall 2nd Chris McEntee 3rd Josh Webb 4th Julie Allan 5th Nicole Murphy Lucky Door Prizes Dylen Murray Julie Allan Neil Donaldson Phil Allan Mel Phillips Scott Kelly 100 Club 1st Gemma McPherson 2nd Denis Coaker 3rd Henry Purvis Kevin Haskin donated a large bottle of his delicious honey – auctioneer extraordinaire Brett Hall slammed the hammer on $120 to Laurie Redfern. 2019 Sinochem Club Championships
There were targets for all levels of shooters. We had 7 sub juniors shooting and all were making some brilliant shots. And for those who thinking some targets were abit big, 2 of the sub juniors were smashing those big ones with a 28g! It’s all about putting that shot in the right place! The haggis made a come back with a simm pair that split across the dam, having shooters chase them before sinking!

2019 Coaker Everett Memorial Shoot
Denis Coaker – mastermind of the timed stations – rabbit, pheasant, crow & grouse, decided he would tweak the grouse so shooters would end the days shooting really wondering what just happened. He added a 3rd target to the grouse stand. Instead of a simm pair it became a simm triple! These targets crossed over at some point of their flight path – idea was to hit 2 with 1 and chase the 3rd with your second barrel. The wind cause havoc with this stand, but it was able to be done. With 3 birds in the air, it cause chaos in the shooters mind

2018 Bourke Family Menzies Pumps & Irrigation Dubbo Field & Game Christmas Shoot
Our Christmas shoot rolled around quickly. Chris Bourke and his band of range setters went about setting a great range. He kept it close so as to avoid shooters being out in the heat to long. Mind you he did slip in a few sneaky ones! His last stand on range 2 was an “endangered speciesâ€. Now this involved 3 targets, 2 orange ones that crossed over each other and the third target being yellow going straight up the middle of them. Object – Don’t Hit The Yellow! If you did you lost all targets. This stand brought a lot of laughter and heckling – Great Fun!

2018 State Selection #1
The boys set as many stands in the shade as possible due to forecasted high temperatures and with 5 targets per stand. With jumping rabbits, high flyers, fast low crossers and a springing teal that seemed to do a backflip. There was an assortment of targets to suite everyone. However no one could prepare for what arrived by midmorning. The wind picked up to cause havoc with the flight of the targets and swirled dust around everyone. Shooters had to really think about picking their lines. Two targets especially coming off our red truck made their own special flight path, really causing some anguish with shooters, sub juniors all the way to AA grade. 74 shooters braved the hot and windy conditions to contend for the “sash†and prizes that were on offer. 2017Christmas Shoot
Dubbo Field & Game Christmas Shoot - Sunday 17th December 2017 Despite the hot conditions, we saw 120 shooters at our Christmas shoot this year, which is astounding! Think it’s the biggest one yet. Chris, Rob & Mel went about changing a few targets from the previous day (and Im sorry but I was the culprit that changed that lovely little one in amongst the trees, rabbit and the right to left crosser with a slight lift to it – oops am I bad?) We made a few easier and just one or two slightly harder. Our fellow campers came out and helped fill traps etc ready for the morning (very grateful for the assistance) It was fantastic to see Santa turn up despite his hectic schedule at this time of year. Glad to see he wore his summer suit! Would like to thank everyone that helped set up and that nasty job of packing everything away after. Chris and Paula (only shot for half the day) who manned the office for the day. To Kennards Hire, for the air conditioning unit which we all enjoyed immensely. Elizabeth Coaker and Sandra Carr who graciously took over the task of organising lunch for all of us, it’s a huge job and their help is truly appreciated. Thank you to our President Rob who spent the day doing the running around filling/fixing traps so the shoot kept going smoothly. In between jobs managed to squeeze in his shooting. Last of all, thank you to all that came out and made the day what it was – BRILLIANT! Results are on the News Page
